Estradiol, the main form of estrogen, plays a crucial role in the menstrual cycle and overall reproductive health. It contributes to the maturation and release of eggs, thickens the uterine lining in preparation for implantation, and is essential for sexual function as well as the development of secondary sexual characteristics. |
The Female Fertility Hormone Panel must be collected between Days 2 and 3 of your menstrual cycle to ensure accurate results. Day 1 refers to the first day of full flow during your period, not spotting. Hormone levels fluctuate throughout the menstrual cycle, and the laboratory reference ranges are specific for this window. This test is not suitable if you have been taking hormonal contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy within the last three months, or if you are under the age of 18.
